Mobility, Tripepi (Enel): "The future is electric, let's invest in charging infrastructure"

Rome, July 3 - (Adnkronos) - "We are here again at the Eco Festival to strengthen Enel's commitment to the topic. In this context, in particular, we are talking about our work towards a different and sustainable mobility, fundamentally electric, in which we have demonstrated our belief for years with commitment and investments." These are the words of Simone Tripepi, CEO of Enel X Way Italia and Head of Charging Point Operator in Enel X global retail, at the presentation of the 'Eco Festival of sustainable mobility and smart cities'.
An event, now in its third edition, which takes stock of the state of the art of the ecological transition in the mobility of people and goods in our country, scheduled for 16 and 17 September 2025 in the Congress Center of Piazza di Spagna.
"As we saw last year, the Eco Fest is a context capable of effectively amplifying what our thinking is, which is why we are returning, also taking stock of what has happened from last year to today. - Tripepi continues - As regards the charging infrastructures, our most tangible commitment, which continue to be present in significant numbers on the Italian territory, we have brought technological innovations that make life and the experience of those who use the charging infrastructures easier, for example by implementing the possibility of paying for charging with a credit or debit card. In fact, in this month of July we are celebrating the launch of our first 400 physical POS in the charging infrastructures, in addition to the 3,400 virtual POS, a non-trivial technological innovation".
"To celebrate this event we have a commercial offer, in fact we propose discounted charging rates for those who charge on the POS of the Enel network, a gesture that shows how much we continue to believe in the development of the infrastructure network. - he concludes - Compared to the last edition of the Eco Festival we have installed another 2000 charging points on the Italian territory and, between now and the end of the year, we will put down another 3000".
